The Dove was on the mission

Thanks to Ann Wallis White who has for years been sending books down to the Caribbean islands to help children learn to read. We were asked to sail to Annapolis on our way back from Maine last year to collect books to deliver to one of the hurricane ravaged islands. And thanks to our charter guests who were up for it, we sailed from Guadeloupe to Dominica and we just happened to find a taxi driver who’s wife just happened to be head teacher in a school that had lost their entire library of books in hurricane Maria. What an experience to see these lovely children run and hug us with excitement at seeing all these books. If you want to help in any way email awwyc@comcast.net
